Jess' master piece #3: Christmas 2013

Another year had passed in a flash! 2013 had been a meaningful and fulfilling year. First half was spent preparing for our wedding in June and the second half? Having fun lazing around not doing anything!

The only free time I had at home, without the Mister, was when he went on an overseas business trip in October. That's when my itchy hands called out to me and I decided to handmade a Christmas card for him!
Till the next project! :)

Jess' master piece #2: Christmas 2012

How time flies.... hadn't been active with scrapbooking in the past 2 years. We've been very busy with our wedding preparations! Yes, its the DIY-evil in me that just can't stop the itchy hands from completing one project after another.

Oh well, at least, I found some time to get started with some altering projects during the season of giving! Don't we all just love christmas?! :)
These are christmas pressies for the colleagues! :)

And these are for the fav girlies in my life!

These frames and accessories containers can be found at Daiso! I love cheap thrills! Really satisfying to turn these plain boring frames and containers into such lovely art pieces. :)
Okay, that's all for now. I hope you guys enjoyed!

IJ's Project #2: Vintage Treasure

As mentioned in our previous post, we will be finishing the album themed "vintage treasure" that we learnt to put together during a class conducted by Wendy @MWL. :)
We finally did over the past 2 weekends and named the album "Trips" to keepstake some of our memories from our first few trips made in the past 2 years.
Album tag decorated with mulberry paper flower petal, mini-types and pearls.
First page and beyond...

Little details like this brightens up the album!
Stamped cut out heart shape layered with a pink polka-dotted ribbon; a frame and pin!

An envelop stamped with various random stamps, tied with a lace and pinned with a safety pin by Tim Holtz.
In the envelop, we placed a tri-folded pattern paper...

Back of envelop.

Tri-folded paper unfolded into a receipt holder! Receipts gathered and kept from our trips! :)

Stuck the passes from the various theme park onto the front of the tri-folded paper.

The left page is one of my favourite!
Background overlayed with a big piece of lace gives a really romantic feel!

An added touch of detail to the bird nest with strands of fabric that we teared out from fabric scraps.

On the left, page had been stamped with dots rubber stamp for the background.
Both pages had been decorated with left over scraps of pattern papers.

Last page!

Back of cover had been stamped randomly with pattern stamps. Fabric scraps and heart shaped chipboards layered over.
Fabric scraps had been edged for the vintage feel. (As mentioned earlier, strands of fabrics had been used for the birdnest!) Hearts are covered with pink mica flakes (our least fav!) and glitter blue paint.
The back of the cover: Stamped with musical notes and an embossed butterfly by Wendy.
Cover had also been painted with varoius shades of pink for that added touch of vintage.
Hope you like this album cuz' we do! :)

IJ's project #1: "Moments of You" mini album

We finally completed our first (not so) mini album for sis upcoming birthday! :) took us four saturdays to complete it. Amature looking yet, nevertheless, a sense of accomplishment felt. Both of us were very satisfied.

Here's some photos of the completed album:

Cover page:
A photo of sis in Santorini, Greece Island

Flipping open,
a picture of us taken one year ago at chief chan's celebrating sis b'day! The next page themed "the oriental beauty" shows a picture of sis in her tailor-made cheong sum.

The next two pages,
A delication to our dearest mummy! Pictures taken during her birthday celebration- the previous year & the year before that.

Following up,
Pages delicated to our family pet which brought unlimited joy to our family!

Coming to the end,
Pages delicated to my graduation.

Not forgetting,
Pages delicated to our country! haha. A lil' pocket with a tag framed with sis picture during NDP'08.

Lastly,
The last page had been decorated and left blank; to place this year birthday picture!

So glad we took up scrapbooking! Learning the different techniques and getting to interact with the experts, though burnt a hole in our pockets, we have had great fun!
Currently we are set to finish the half done mini album we created during a scrapbook class. We will post up the finished album once done!
Till then...
